Social Action

Social Action Committee is dedicated to the Jewish ideal of Mitzvot. The committee's purpose is to work with other groups within Congregation Beth El to promote community service and to provide support for Israel.

Some of our annual programs include food collections for Rosh Hashanah and Passover, the JFCS Food Pantry, Toys for Tots, Tzedakah for Israel, and cooking Thanksgiving dinner for the Camden Boys and Girls Club.

The Social Action committee is interested in volunteers for a single project or an ongoing commitment. That is why we divided the year into monthly projects, so congregants can pick and choose how and when they'd like to get involved.

We'd also like to hear from anyone who has a project of interest. We will try to incorporate it into our upcoming events.

We partner with many of Beth El's groups to bring a social action component to their programs.

Social Action is a committee of our Sisterhood.
