Message from the Klay Kodesh:
A Holy Time in a Holy Place
Our goal as Jews is to make all time holy. Still, in our busy lives, we have precious little time to pause and reflect on the gifts that are ours, what matters most in our lives, and how we can move a bit further on the path of becoming the person Gd wants us to be. That’s why we, Jews of all ages, need synagogue services with personal prayer time, so very much.
Beth El Youth Services offer the unique opportunity for family prayer and study. Synagogue is to Judaism what home is to family. Here we can experience together genuine intimacy, a respite from the turmoil of daily lives, and a calming feeling of belonging.
Youth Services, however, are more than self-serving. They remind us, adults and children of our interdependency, of our mutual obligation to our Jewish community.
How do we know that our prayers are answered? As one Talmudic sage put it, “He or she who rises from prayer feeling like a better Jew, a better human being, a nicer person; that person’s prayers have been answered”.
So enjoy this unique growth opportunity, for yourself, for your family, and for our community. Insights gained here will change the course of your life; memories made here will last a lifetime, priorities set today will influence generations to come.
We are delighted that you have chosen to spend this precious time with us.
